More than five years after the announcement of the competition winners for Colombia's National Museum of Memory, construction on the project has begun.
The firms Pacheco estudio de arquitectura (Colombia) and estudio.entresitio (Spain) designed the proposal and are moving forward with the construction, which was awarded to the Spanish contractor Obrascón Huarte Lain.
On July 28, the Azcapotzalco Borough opened the exhibition “O’ Gorman O’ Gorman 1905 - 1982” at the Casa de Cultura Azcapotzalco in Mexico City, curated by Sofía M. Provencio and Juan José Kochen. Developed by the Regional Public Transport Division of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications in conjunction with various Chilean municipalities—specifically, the Ilustre Municipalidad de Cisnes—the initiative sought to organize activities associated with rural and intercity bus operations in these towns.
Known worldwide for pushing the limits of formal experimentation with reinforced concrete, Oscar Niemeyer relied in many of his works on the indispensable collaboration of a civil engineer as inventive and daring as the architect himself: Recife-born Joaquim Moreira Cardozo, who graduated in civil engineering in 1930 from the School of Engineering of Pernambuco, today part of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).
Responsible for the design of the Alberto Torres Rural School in 1936 – a project that already showed synergy with modern architecture at the time – Cardozo met Niemeyer while working at the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Service (SPHAN) in Rio de Janeiro. During this time, he developed the structural design for the Pampulha Ensemble in Belo Horizonte, inaugurated in 1943. This was the initial collaboration of a partnership that would last 30 years and find its most prolific period in the construction of Brasília.
The FAU Student Ideas Competition was held with the objective of developing the site of Club Atlético Ever Ready, located in the city of Dolores, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. On May 28, the results of the national architectural ideas competition for the Three Faculties Educational Complex and University Campus were announced, a call inviting professionals in Argentina to develop an educational master plan in the Tigre district, Buenos Aires. The University Campus was to include a Law and Social Sciences Faculty, a Faculty of Medicine with a University Medical Research Center, and a Faculty of Architecture to house technical and humanities disciplines. Meanwhile, the Educational Complex was required to include a high school, a primary school, and a preschool, which had to be connected to the university cloisters to support educational continuity.

Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the sixth edition of the Concéntrico International Architecture and Design Festival has been postponed, with new dates set for September 3 to 6, 2020.
The postponement is accompanied by an innovative online coverage initiative called the "Concéntrico Marathon," which will take place during the originally scheduled dates, from April 29 to May 3, 2020.

The winners of the Buenos Aires and the River "Salguero Park" National Ideas Competition, Young District CABA, have been announced. Promoted by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and organized by the Central Society of Architects (SCA) and the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism of the UBA (FADU), the call invited participants to develop comprehensive urban ideas for the "Costa Salguero - Punta Carrasco" complex of the Young District across its 32 hectares and 2,535 linear meters along the Río de la Plata.
