London Festival of Architecture Announces 2022 Program and Call for Entries

The London Festival of Architecture (LFA), the world’s largest annual architecture festival is returning for its 13th edition this summer, transforming the city's neighborhoods into a public display of installations, exhibitions, talks, and special events. Following two years of digitalized editions, this year's LFA falls under the theme of ‘act’, and will see a return of physical events alongside digital realms across the capital.

2018 RIBA Stirling Prize Shortlist Announced for UK’s Best New Building

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has announced the shortlist of six projects competing for the 2018 Stirling Prize, the UK’s most prestigious award for architecture, given to the building “that has made the biggest contribution to the evolution of architecture in a given year.” Selected from the list of national award winners, the finalist buildings range from a highly-innovative new workplace in central London to a rammed-earth wall cemetery in Hertfordshire.

Sheffield University Student Wins 9th RIBA Norman Foster Traveling Scholarship

Sheffield University School of Architecture student, Charles Palmer, has been announced as the winner of the 2015 RIBA Norman Foster Traveling Scholarship for his proposal Cycling Megacities. Palmer will use his £6,000 scholarship to fund a study tour of four "megacities" in developing countries: Mexico City, Mexico; Lagos, Nigeria; Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Shenzhen, China. Focusing primarily on bicycle advocacy and urban design, the tour will examine the manner in which socio-political forces impact urban public space, and explore the bicycle as a means of transportation accessible to all social classes.
