The School of Architecture at the Creative Campus of Universidad Andrés Bello is opening a call for applications for the first edition of Remote Residencies. The inaugural "MA Awards 2022" seek to promote and highlight the work of contemporary women architects in Chile. To this end, the awards feature two categories: Emerging and Established. Both categories aim to identify and recognize architectural production in areas such as housing, public architecture, urbanism, landscape, and others. The awards seek to promote built works across Chile developed by women architects, thereby increasing the visibility of architecture within the country and showcasing its diversity.
In 2027, the Weissenhofsiedlung in Stuttgart will mark its 100th anniversary. The famous housing estate, originally consisting of 21 houses, was built for the 1927 Deutscher Werkbund International Exhibition under the artistic direction of Mies van der Rohe.
