The Ministry of Housing and Urbanism (Minvu) has launched an open call for architects to design a future flora conservation center to be located in the Metropolitan Park (Parquemet).
Titled "Architectural Design and Specialties for the Chagual Botanical Garden," the competition is organized by Minvu in partnership with the Chagual Botanical Garden Corporation. The goal is to select proposals for the buildings that will define this new space.
The Arquitectura Film Festival Santiago (ArqFilmFest) and Kiné-Imágenes invite you to participate in the "Re-visiones de ciudad" (City Re-visions) workshop. The Engel Foundation invites Chilean architects to participate in the National Architecture and Landscape Design Competition for the New Museum of Santiago (NuMu). The museum will be located at the southern end of Bicentenario Park in Vitacura and will serve as a key element in consolidating a large area of the park and its edges, connecting it to the city and the urban fabric.

The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) announced a national competition on Friday, January 26, for the architectural and landscape design of the future Covid-19 memorial. The competition is organized by the Rio de Janeiro Department of the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB-RJ).
Registration for the 63rd IAB RJ Awards closes on November 2nd
Registration for the 63rd IAB RJ Awards 2025 is now open, with a deadline of November 2. IAB members in good standing are entitled to one free entry. Additional entries are subject to a fee of R$ 105. Registration must be completed via the online form available on the Department’s website.
The five best proposals will be awarded a total of R$ 130,000 in prizes, in addition to the hiring of the winning project for the full development of the executive designs.
