A theatre destroyed by a fire, a unique architecture workshop, a classical music festival and a creative challenge. Can architects design a structure to amplify the sound and put the music back in the theatre? LEGO Architecture Studio is helping out.




Cersaie—the world’s largest exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings—will take place at the Bologna Exhibition Center in Bologna, Italy from September 28-October 2, 2015 for its 33rd year. The show is organized by Edi.Cer SpA and promoted by Confindustria Ceramica in collaboration with Bologna Fiere.



Rome-based SET Architects has been announced as the winner of the international design competition held by the Jewish Community of Bologna to design a Holocaust memorial in Bologna, Italy. The winning design—called the Shoah Memorial—is a representation of the wooden bunks from concentration camps where prisoners were kept, and thus is comprised of a “narrow and cold passage between two equal and symmetrical elements.”




The architectonic models of 41 Japanese architects are on display at the Triennale di Milano.
Using models created by a wide variety of Japanese architects – including Kengo Kuma, Tetsuo Furuichi, Shigeru Ban, Arata Isozaki, Koh Kitayama, Rike Yamamoto, Archi Depot Tokyo Exhibition explores the visions of the architects.

Realtà e Fantasia. Cartoline dall’Italia exhibition conveys a selection of Sergei Tchoban’s architectural drawings. The walls of of the gallery will be covered with 60 sketches – depicting landscapes and fantasies. As a part of the exhibition installation pictures shot in Tchoban’s Berlin atelier – nps tchoban voss –, document some of his completed architectural projects, will give a good idea about the artists visions not only as an architect, but also as someone whose passion is architectural drawing.
