"Contextual Architecture" TACO Contextual Architecture Workshop.

This lecture proposes a return to the essential principles of architectural practice—principles often compromised by globalization—with the aim of creating works that strengthen the connection between the user, the site, and time. It highlights the elements that define the specific context of each architectural project and examines how these factors shape the corresponding design response. The workshop’s design methodology is illustrated through a series of built projects featuring typologies and scales familiar to the average architect.

Book Launch: "Cities for Childhood: Campana - Altamira"

The School of Architecture, Art and Design at Tecnológico de Monterrey, in partnership with Fundación FEMSA, invites you to the book launch of "Ciudades para la Infancia: Campana - Altamira," taking place on Tuesday, July 11, at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus Library Auditorium. This publication stems from the Fundación FEMSA Chair, which is part of the Master of Architecture and Urban Design (MDU) program. It compiles the results from the 2022 cycle: a research and design approach to the Campana-Altamira District, along with a series of reflections on the core themes explored within the Chair.

City, women, and public space

This is the first congress presented by the Mexican collective ARQUITECTAS.MX, a space dedicated to reflecting on, connecting, and strengthening the role of women within the profession. Centered on a gender perspective, the program will feature a dialogue between architects Loreta Castro and Nuria Benítez, moderated by Sheila Ferniza, followed by a discussion joined by Sharlinee Ceniceros and Cordelia Portilla.

XXIII Nuevo León Architecture Biennial

The College of Architects of Nuevo León presents the latest edition of the Nuevo León Architecture Biennial (BANL) for the 2024-2026 biennium. Held for the past 46 years, it is the first and longest-running architecture biennial in the country, continuing its legacy as a reference point at the regional and national levels, and as a curated selection for various international forums.

CUADRANTE Art, Design, and Architecture Gathering

CUADRANTE Art, Design, and Architecture Meeting will take place from October 30 to November 9, 2025, as part of Nuevo León’s most significant cultural celebration: the Santa Lucía International Festival. After 16 years of bringing together prominent international artists, the city of Monterrey transforms into a grand stage with an extensive program dedicated to the arts.

    "Young Vision of Architecture" presents three talented, award-winning, and innovative young Mexicans based in Nuevo León in a TED-style format. Two architects: Marcela González Veloz, founder of OFICIO Taller de Arquitectura, and Vicente "Chente" Tapia, director of the alternative community design studio W.E.Y.E.S. And one civil engineer, Kenji López Rivera, leader of the firm Greendfield. They will share their passion for architecture and their experiences through clear, dynamic, concise, and even entertaining talks.
