Global architecture, urbanism and design practice Broadway Malyan has pushed into with their winning proposal in the masterplan for the high-profile Cilandak Bisnis Square (CIBIS) project in , on behalf of client Bhumyamka Sekawan. CIBIS is the practice’s first project in , which has one of the world’s fastest growing construction markets and is predicted to represent some four per cent of global construction spending from 2010 to 2020. International architecture, urbanism and design practice Broadway Malyan has completed the design of its first theatre in , the Kanas Lake Performance Theatre.The new theatre, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the province of North West China, is a multi-purpose theatre for the Provincial government. It will house a 1,200 seat auditorium for performance arts including theatre, opera, musicals and dance. The design draws on powerful yet simple forms, with the theatre auditorium enclosed within two protective wings wrapping the shell as if protected within clasped hands.
