Izaskun Chinchilla: The Latest Architecture and News

The Diversity in Architecture (DIVIA) Award 2025 has been awarded to Vietnamese architect Trần Thị Ngụ Ngôn, founder of Tropical Space, in a ceremony held on 10 May 2025 at the European Cultural Centre, in Palazzo Mora in Venice. The award includes international recognition and a €10,000 prize, honoring women architects whose work contributes to cultural diversity and inclusion in architecture. This year's edition featured five other finalists: Carolina Rodas and Carla Chávez from Ecuador, Izaskun Chinchilla from Spain, Cazú Zegers from Chile, Patcharada Inplang from Thailand, and Surella Segú from Mexico, all of whom were presented as part of the Time Space Existence exhibition organized by the ECC.

"Concéntrico wants to achieve a better city", says Javier Peña as he inaugurates the International Festival of Architecture and Design of Logroño in Spain. An event that since its first edition in 2015 has proposed rediscovering the spaces of interest in the historic center, reflecting on the urban environment through different proposals for installations and ephemeral exhibitions. This year, it celebrates its eighth meeting from the 1st to the 6th of September.

Curated by Spanish architect Izaskun Chinchilla Moreno, Cosmowomen. Places as constellations is an exhibition currently open at La Galleria Nazionale di Roma, Italy. Reflecting on the incorporation of women into architecture, Cosmowomen displays a series of projects developed by 65 Bartlett School of Architecture-alumni women architects from over 20 different nationalities.
