The Fundació Mies van der Rohe launches the call for the 5th Lilly Reich Grant for Equality in Architecture with the aim of continuing to generate research and debate on modern and contemporary architecture. This is done in dialogue with current paradigm shifts, paying special attention to diversity, inclusion, and the different dimensions of sustainability.

The Living Places - Simon Architecture Prize, an initiative of Simon developed by Fundació Mies van der Rohe, has the aim of distinguishing excellent architecture that enhance spaces' capacity for adaptation, seeking the comfort of their inhabitants. Architecture is made into quality places for people in their daily lives: for working, for learning, for playing; it is architecture to be experienced!

The Pan-African Biennale (PAB) is a continental platform dedicated to documenting, preserving, and projecting Africa's built environment, urbanism, and creative futures— across all 54 nations and the diaspora.
It is the founding of a long-term continental institution, built to ensure that African architects, urbanists, artists, and communities are the authors of their own spatial and cultural narratives.

This call for entries is open to all architects, students of architecture, landscape architects, interior designers, artists and industrial designers who have a proven portfolio of design work. It is the intention of this competition to foster and encourage the formation of multi-disciplinary teams.

- Selected projects will be featured on the Arbo Platform, where public and private sector managers can discover best practices and urban transformations related to early childhood.

The Colombian Society of Architects (SCA), with the support of the National Professional Council of Architecture and its Auxiliary Professions (CPNAA), has agreed to revive the regional architecture salons initiative, aiming to recognize and promote the work of architects in Colombia from a regional perspective.

The Bogotá Public Space Biennial (BEPBOG) is a biennial competition organized by the Mayor's Office of Bogotá D.C., represented by the Administrative Department of the Public Space Ombudsman (DADEP) and its Bogotá D.C. Public Space Observatory, in partnership with the Colombian Society of Architects, Bogotá and Cundinamarca regional chapter (SCA BC).

The curatorial team for the Spanish Pavilion at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, Uncertainty, invites the entire architectural community to participate in this open call, which will prioritize interdisciplinary projects that have demonstrated a positive and tangible social impact.

Interested in learning how to build with earth? Don't miss this excellent workshop hosted by the Ecuadorian firm RAMA Estudio—learn by doing! The workshop will consist of two Saturdays of theoretical and practical sessions on March 10 and 17.

The 2025 ARQUITECTURA Awards are underway. The competition enters its fourth edition with new features designed to enhance the recognition of planning projects and other urban schemes. The goal is to broaden participation opportunities, continuing to showcase and share with society at large the values of architecture, urban planning, and other professional practices that contribute to human well-being and planetary sustainability. Organized by the Spanish Council of Architects (CSCAE) and officially sponsored by COMPAC®, the ARQUITECTURA Awards include six distinctions based on universal, social, and cultural values, along with three special recognitions.

The call for applications is now open for the Hatching Festival workshops, which will take place from July 5 to 8 in Tenerife and from July 10 to 14 in Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands. Directed by architect Fernando Menis, the festival focuses on the possibility of creating life in desert or semi-desert areas through a symbiosis of tradition and new technologies, natural energy, and the manipulation of form.

The architecture festival celebrates its 10th anniversary, having become an essential event on the capital's cultural calendar. The festival is designed to make architecture accessible to visitors in a clear and educational way. Open House Madrid is a non-profit organization that offers the opportunity to visit over a hundred iconic spaces that are usually inaccessible or have recently opened. It is part of the global Open House Worldwide network, which takes place in more than 50 cities around the world with a common goal: to bring architecture closer to society and raise awareness about its influence on our way of life.

The second edition of the "MA Awards 2023" seeks to promote and highlight the work of contemporary women architects in Chile. To this end, there are two award categories: Emerging and Established. Both categories aim to identify and value architectural production in areas such as housing, public architecture, urbanism, landscape, and others. The awards seek to promote built works throughout Chile developed by women architects, thereby increasing the visibility of architecture within our territory and showcasing its diversity.

The National Reflection and Research Competition, Arquitectura Escrita 2022, organized by the Grupo Arquitectura Caliente, seeks to highlight and disseminate readings on the discipline through an open competition that awards the best texts from architecture students, professional architects, or representatives of other disciplines who, through their research and reflections, contribute to the knowledge and debate of architecture in Chile.

The 2025 Urban Contribution Award (Premio Aporte Urbano) is an annual distinction that seeks to recognize and highlight built works and initiatives in Chilean cities that make a significant contribution to urban development and well-being.

In keeping with a tradition dating back to 1969, the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile is calling for nominations for the 2024 National Architecture Award. This is the highest honor an architect or architectural team can receive in our country. According to the Regulations for Awards and Distinctions, the award recognizes individuals "whose career and ethical and professional performance have set an example for all architects, in any manifestation of professional practice, whether in the field of architectural design, academic work, professional association involvement, public service, or management."

More than half of the global population currently lives in cities, presenting a challenge for urban planners and professionals in urban management and design. One of the most significant elements of this landscape is public space—including parks, plazas, esplanades, boulevards, and streets—where everyone has the right to be and move freely. These spaces function as meeting points where cultural, social, economic, and informational exchanges converge.

Countless women around the world have contributed to the development of the built environment and the habitat, as well as to the advancement of architecture as a profession; however, much of this work remains unpublished and unknown. This invitation to join the 1x1 Collection of the International Archive of Women in Architecture (IAWA) seeks to make the contributions of all women architects visible so that the record of their work does not disappear, taking their valuable stories with it.

The Rafael Manzano Prize for New Traditional Architecture aims to promote the value of traditional architecture as a proven reference for contemporary design in Spain and Portugal. This applies both to the restoration of monuments and urban ensembles of historical and artistic value, and to new construction projects that, rooted in local traditions, are capable of integrating harmoniously into these settings.

Registration is now open for the 19th Arquia/Becas 2018 call for applications, offering 24 internships for architecture students and recent graduates from schools of architecture in Spain and Portugal to gain professional experience at European architecture firms.
