The Fundació Mies van der Rohe launches the call for the 5th Lilly Reich Grant for Equality in Architecture with the aim of continuing to generate research and debate on modern and contemporary architecture. This is done in dialogue with current paradigm shifts, paying special attention to diversity, inclusion, and the different dimensions of sustainability.

The Living Places - Simon Architecture Prize, an initiative of Simon developed by Fundació Mies van der Rohe, has the aim of distinguishing excellent architecture that enhance spaces' capacity for adaptation, seeking the comfort of their inhabitants. Architecture is made into quality places for people in their daily lives: for working, for learning, for playing; it is architecture to be experienced!

The Pan-African Biennale (PAB) is a continental platform dedicated to documenting, preserving, and projecting Africa's built environment, urbanism, and creative futures— across all 54 nations and the diaspora.
It is the founding of a long-term continental institution, built to ensure that African architects, urbanists, artists, and communities are the authors of their own spatial and cultural narratives.

This call for entries is open to all architects, students of architecture, landscape architects, interior designers, artists and industrial designers who have a proven portfolio of design work. It is the intention of this competition to foster and encourage the formation of multi-disciplinary teams.

On November 16, the call for entries opened for the 6th edition of the Citizen Festival of Urban Interventions, which invites the residents of Santiago to carry out various initiatives, including music, performance, theater, installations, dance, workshops, and games in public spaces.

The Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) invites all architects in Chile to apply for the 2020 Marta Scheu Award. ArchDaily is the official media partner for this competition, which aims to recognize women who have made significant contributions to architecture and urbanism.

The Colombian Society of Architects (SCA), with the support of the National Professional Council of Architecture and its Auxiliary Professions (CPNAA), has agreed to revive the regional architecture salons initiative, aiming to recognize and promote the work of architects in Colombia from a regional perspective.

The Bogotá Public Space Biennial (BEPBOG) is a biennial competition organized by the Mayor's Office of Bogotá D.C., represented by the Administrative Department of the Public Space Ombudsman (DADEP) and its Bogotá D.C. Public Space Observatory, in partnership with the Colombian Society of Architects, Bogotá and Cundinamarca regional chapter (SCA BC).

In our effort to broaden the reach of our work as students, we have launched an initiative to create a dossier showcasing projects by architecture students. Submissions can be current or past work that faithfully captures our approach to the various facets of the profession.

The Arquitectura Film Festival Santiago (ArqFilmFest) and Kiné-Imágenes invite you to participate in the "Re-visiones de ciudad" (City Re-visions) workshop. Participants will collaborate to create an audiovisual piece, which will premiere during the 2018 edition of the festival, taking place from October 25 to 28 in Barrio Lastarria.

CoNEA Chile currently has 33 delegates across 27 universities, spanning from Iquique to Puerto Montt. However, we have yet to appoint representative delegates in several architecture schools and faculties; consequently, we have opened this call for applications.

The CA Awards are among the most significant recognitions for architects in Chile, highlighting twelve members for their excellence, work, and contributions to the field. Furthermore, as determined by the National Board, these awards serve as benchmarks for architects across the country.

The Association for Strategic Reflection on Architecture (AREA) announces the eighth Latin American Architecture Biennial (BAL), 2023 edition, to highlight the work of young Latin American architects. As in previous editions, BAL aims to showcase the work of emerging professionals in Spain, thereby helping to promote their careers both in our country and their own.

Professional training, along with legal instruments, economic incentives, technological advancements, and public awareness of the value of heritage assets, is a cornerstone in protecting a country's cultural heritage. Indeed, training architecture professionals to act with sensitivity and technical expertise regarding built heritage helps consolidate efforts toward the conservation of these assets and reinforces the contribution that the professional field can make to passing on heritage values to future generations.

The COURB Institute invites teams from across Brazil to submit projects for presentation at the 4th COURB - Collaborative Urbanism Meeting, to be held in Belém, Pará, on September 26 and 27, 2019.

AGENDA OF THE CITIES, TABASCO: Call for submissions from architects in Tabasco for a compilation of ideas, proposals, and/or studies in the fields of architecture, public space, urban development, and territorial planning.

The Arquia Foundation has announced the curator and theme for the 10th edition of arquia/próxima (2024–2025), a program dedicated to fostering, promoting, and showcasing emerging architecture in Spain and Portugal. This open call, which runs until February 5, 2026, is curated by architect José María Sánchez García. His proposal, "Territory," invites participants to rethink this concept beyond its geographical dimension, incorporating cultural, ecological, social, and virtual aspects.

The Rafael Manzano Prize for New Traditional Architecture aims to promote the value of traditional architecture as a proven reference for contemporary design in Spain and Portugal. This applies both to the restoration of monuments and urban ensembles of historical and artistic value, and to new construction projects that, rooted in local traditions, are capable of integrating harmoniously into these settings.
