Focusing on the future of public space, and centering their approach on wellbeing and sport as drivers of sustainability, economic and social development, the Lugano Municipal Council in Switzerland has given the go-ahead for the planning of the new Pole of Sports and Events (PSE). Designed by LAND, the project dictates the direction for public spaces in the post-pandemic era.

LAND Gets the Green Light for Parco dello Sport Al Maglio, a new Pole of Sports and Events in Switzerland
Designed by CRA- Carlo Ratti Associati and MIC-Mobility in Chain, the proposed plan for the Swiss city Lugano creates a network of public spaces, that connects the town to the lake. The project puts in place a floating garden and a reconfigurable waterfront.
The first i2a Biennale will focus on the important territorial transformations currently underway in Switzerland, with more than 20 invited experts from various disciplines participating in a series of encounters and debates. The 3-day event aims to stimulate a dialogue between insiders and citizens, in order to place the transformations of the Swiss territory within a historical, social and political context.
