"Today, the digital era is profoundly transforming the ways in which architecture and its spaces are represented. Virtual models and digital renders offer a hyper-realistic representation, yet they should not be confused with reality; they are, almost always, a non-naive manipulation of it. How can we return to appreciating architecture in its message and transcendent poetics?" With this question, architect Martín Marcos—director of the Museum of Decorative Art in Buenos Aires—inaugurates the exhibition "After Architecture," an exploration by Luciana Levinton into the existing relationship between architectural and pictorial language, focused on the work of architect Lina Bo Bardi.

This open call invites the general public to submit photographs of security grilles located in public spaces in any city worldwide.

The best photographs will be selected for exhibition at the Peruvian Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2020.

Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the first Open Show for the month of February 2020. The contest is open to all artists worldwide over 18 years of age. There is NO theme in this contest and all visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. The Best of Show winning artwork will be displayed as the poster of the show. All winning artists ( Merit Award & Honorable Mention) will receive a digital award certificate. The application fee is $16 for the 2 images of artwork. You may enter more than once. OfficeNext announced the launch of its 11th annual international competition for best corporate interior projects.

Best Office Awards has been held since 2010 and it is the main Russian professional award in the field of corporate interiors design. Russian and foreign office projects are denoted with this award and the prize is given to the office architect and customer tandem.

Rio de Janeiro is inviting everyone to be part of the 2020 official calendar, as the city serves as the first UNESCO-UIA World Capital of Architecture and host of the 27th World Congress of Architects. The City Hall has published a public call (number 02/2019) in the Official Municipal Gazette, opening the floor for institutions and cultural producers from Brazil and abroad to submit proposals for events related to architecture, cultural heritage, landscaping, urban management, or discussions on the cities of the future.
