Due to both the growing tourist demand in the city of Salta and the population's need for equipped recreational open spaces, the Government of Salta—through the Salta Cable Car Complex and the Salta Architects' Association—will expand the cable car system to connect the summits of Cerro San Bernardo and Cerro Delta.

The Bank of London and South America (Banco de Londres y América del Sud, or BLAS) in Buenos Aires defies convention and categorization, much like the architect primarily credited with its design, Clorindo Testa. A unique client relationship, guided by the bank’s staff architect Gerald Wakeham, and a supportive collaboration with the firm Sánchez Elía, Peralta Ramos and Agostini (SEPRA) resulted in a building that continues to evoke surprise and fascination.

Based on the PhD thesis of Marcelo Faiden and organized by Javier Agustín Rojas, this workshop is aimed at students and architects who wish to delve into design techniques through the analysis and study of notable buildings in Buenos Aires. The workshop will take place over eight consecutive sessions starting in March 2019, held on Fridays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Monte 153 C (March) and Atelier C (April).

“Every city is built and conceived from its institutions,” state Santiago Bianchi, Felipe Carrizo, Leandro Fucile, Julian Kelis, Ezequiel Spinelli, Matias Zoppi, and architect Alejandrina Martignoni. The team was awarded first prize in the Public Design Competition for the new building of the Honorable City Council of Lincoln, Argentina.
