In the search for solutions to the global housing crisis, Bee Breeders are calling for essay submissions to explore the problem further. Winning entries will be included in the first issue of their print publication ARCHHIVE, which will focus on affordable housing.

Submissions can be historical, present, or prospective. Join Luis Ruiz, senior architect product specialist at Vectorworks, Inc., as he discusses how Niemeyer’s idea was used to develop the design of Santuário Papa João Paulo II using BIM software. Learn how free-form modeling tools, combined with smart building objects, allowed Niemeyer to design the 1,960-square-meter building slated to be built on 12,000 square meters of land in Rio de Janeiro.

The Lisbon Triennale is looking for national and international independently funded proposals that can be articulated and also complement the central program of its 5th edition, that will take place between October 3rd and December 2nd 2019.

As part of the 5th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale program, this call invites architecture students to engage in deep thought, in an exercise of collective research on constructive rationality. This competition for ideas is open to master degree students from worldwide architecture schools.
