Waterproof - International Design Competition Under 40
The aim of the contest is to create a link between the world of design and production, and stimulate innovative solutions that start from the knowledge and from the eventual customization of materials used for the project. The design theme is Palazzo Ca’ Tron, location of undergraduate degree programme in Planning and Urban Design at Università Iuav di Venezia, located in the historic center of the city.

Started in 2009, Warming Huts: An Art + Architecture Competition on Ice has been melding world-class design and art with Winnipeg’s famous winters. The competition has seen entries from across the globe and caught the attention of international architecture publications and awards, as well as admiration from newspapers such as the New York Times.
Warming Huts is an open competition, supported by the Manitoba Association of Architects. Proposals for the competition are submitted online at www.warminghuts.com. Once entries are submitted, a blind jury selects designs that best “push the envelope of design, craft and art.”

Detroit Design 139* is pleased to announce an open call for submissions that will result in an exhibition showcasing exceptional architecture and design work within the City of Detroit. Local, national, and international firms are encouraged to submit completed, in-progress and planned projects within Detroit’s 139 square miles. The top 20 submissions will be selected by an international jury and will then be displayed in the recently renovated 1001 Woodward storefront on Campus Martius in the heart of downtown Detroit.
