The Rammed Earth Construction Workshop stems from a desire to create a unique space for approaching, exploring, and sharing techniques for rammed earth construction. The workshop is entirely self-managed and collaborative, organized by three architects with diverse perspectives on spatial production and bio-construction.

During the design month held every October in Mexico City, Coolhuntermx, curated by Taina Campos and Andrea Soler, proposes a space to amplify the voices of women designers, architects, and all creatives. Although they are gradually reclaiming and occupying a place on the country's design exhibition platforms, there is still a long way to go to make our disciplines an equal and fair terrain for developing our practices.

Session 274. "Landscape Through" Gabriel Díaz Montemayor
This presentation begins with an interpretation of the built environment in Mexico and Latin America as a process and practice that emerges from the city and the landscape, which are culturally understood as a dichotomy. The "Landscape Through" approach invites us to consider the built environment as a network of embedded scales and systems, creating a diversity of thresholds, interstices, and ecotones that impact, support, and evolve alongside one another, suggesting their dissolution. There is no such thing as an intact, pristine natural environment, nor is there a complete, determined urban environment. This argument is presented as a reflection aimed at fostering a more socially and environmentally just habitat, one that is implementable for the transformation and regeneration of our cities. The presentation is structured around a theoretical framework and a variety of projects developed through applied academic research, design workshops as service initiatives, and professional projects.

The Social Communication Coordination, in collaboration with the Cultural Diffusion Coordination and the Library and Archives Coordination of the UNAM Faculty of Architecture, held a campaign throughout November to commemorate the 240-year history of the Academia de San Carlos and the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture.

Fábrica de Ciudad presents the new Continuing Education Seminars (SAC-FAB), digital spaces designed to foster interaction between architects, students, and professors with a focus on reflecting on architectural thought.

Established in 1984 by the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Architecture, the Federico E. Mariscal Extraordinary Chair is awarded to architecture professionals in Mexico in recognition of their outstanding high-level performance in the field. It is not required for the recipient to be an active faculty member at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). This recognition is granted by the Technical Council of the Faculty of Architecture.

Tezontle, formed by Lucas Cantú and Carlos H. Matos, presents an intervention at LIGA that highlights their recent work: Sinseñalismo (No-Signalism). Curated by designers Andrea Soler and Taina Campos, the event offers an inclusive, diverse, and collective space. Following an inaugural edition marked by significant shared learning and insights, the festival maintains its core objective: to serve as an integrative platform for design proposals and creative expressions that seek to foster dialogues alternative to those typically seen during design month.

Obra Blanca, a project created to meet the construction sector's demand for all types of finishes, is returning for its third edition. This exhibition serves as a meeting point for professionals looking to showcase their offerings and those seeking to compare various finishing options. As a specialized exhibition, it focuses on the visitor experience and the professionalization of an increasingly sophisticated industry. The event aims to foster connections between professionals and companies in the Mexican construction finishes sector, further elevating the market level and serving as a benchmark for trends and design for architects, interior designers, builders, developers, distributors, and industry professionals.

As part of a free event organized by ArchDaily in partnership with Obra Blanca Expo on October 12 at 10:30 AM, Carlos Manuel González Baute will present in Mexico City to discuss the work of his firm, Albor Arquitectos, where he is currently a partner alongside Alain Rodríguez Sosa, Camilo José Cabrera Pérez, and Merlyn González García. Their work is based in Cienfuegos, a city on the southern coast of Cuba known for its colonial-era buildings.
