The International Colloquium: Cartography, a Critical Tool for Design, brings together internationally renowned speakers in critical cartography from various disciplines to present diverse perspectives and visions of mapping. The event is structured around three interrelated themes: creative mapping, descriptive mapping, and critical mapping. The first segment explores various approaches to mapping through innovative processes and methodologies in critical cartography; the second group analyzes cartography as an intersubjective and interdisciplinary medium in the current Anthropocene era; finally, the third group presents counter-mapping, participatory cartographies, and spatial practices as critical processes aimed at highlighting and emancipating other realities.
SPACE10, IKEA's independent research and design lab, shares a first look at the program for its two-week pop-up in Mexico City, which will explore the theme "Beyond Human-Centered Design." With over 45 guest speakers, the pop-up will feature daily panels and lectures, exhibitions, workshops, a live radio program, and a series of immersive culinary experiences. The program, taking place from March 26 to April 9 at the multidisciplinary space LOOT, promises a comprehensive and vibrant exploration of how design and technology can be a powerful force for reimagining and creating a better everyday life on the planet.

The 35th FA Student Exhibition will take place at the Faculty of Architecture from May 23 to June 3. This event, held annually since 1982, is titled "From Here to There" this year. For the first time, it is being managed entirely by the student community, having been developed and conceptualized by a multidisciplinary team of 16 students under the coordination of student curator Iván Alejandro Montiel Ramos.

The 2023 GloWD RedesignEd Educators Forum explores creative connections at the frontier of design and its way of thinking. What Design Can Do México GNP 2022 returns to Mexico City with plenty of surprises in store: the event announces a new festival at the Colegio de San Ildefonso, the opening of the call for entries for its new "Make it Circular!" Challenge, and the "Make it Circular!" exhibition at the Franz Mayer Museum.
For the first time, LIGA presents the work of a Cuban architecture firm: Infraestudio. The studio, led by Anadis González and Fernando Martirena, addresses various conflicts and challenges in its daily practice, including job insecurity in a context where private architecture is illegal. Despite this obstacle, they have managed to develop a provocative body of built work that they intertwine with proposals linked to artistic practices.
NIEBLA is the first solo exhibition by Erik López. Drawing from the concept of "brain fog"—a neurological phenomenon characterized by memory loss, difficulty finding words, and feeling overwhelmed by simple daily tasks—NIEBLA presents a selection of works produced between 2020 and 2021 by photographer, museographer, and digital artist Erik López. The exhibition traces a brief journey from the material to the intangible, experimenting with architecture, digital art, NFTs, photography, and video.
For the past ten years, the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival has established itself as an event that promotes a space to think about, celebrate, and reflect on the city through architecture. The festival brings together specialists, students, citizens, public officials, artists, journalists, and more for a gathering across various locations and through diverse activities, aiming to delve into, discuss, and enjoy one of humanity's greatest inventions: cities.
