Globally We Design: RedesignEd 2023 Educators Forum in Mexico City

The 2023 GloWD RedesignEd Educators Forum explores creative connections at the frontier of design and its way of thinking. Bringing together a small, invitation-only group of prominent design thinkers from around the world, this year’s forum convenes to evaluate and advance "Design Rethinking at the Leading Edge" during a global meeting at the Central University City campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

In this first post-pandemic in-person meeting, we are rethinking design thinking, exploring the implications of a global disruption that has radically altered societal behaviors, processes, and expectations. By probing the essential knowledge and methods for retention and advancement, we will address questions such as: How has the world changed in the last three years, and what do we know now that we didn't know before? How do we expand design thinking to improve impact? Is digital technology/AI truly transformative, or are we overestimating its impact? Are future designers discipline-specific or generalists? Are they creators or curators? How do we connect learning with the community?
