The spread of the new Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is forcing to change rapidly our lives, and this pandemic scenario won’t last for a little time. Gideon Lichfield in his article in the MIT Technology Review state that this situation will probably last for 18 months. Many scientists, moreover, are convinced that this is just the first of many pandemics that we will face in the next future.

The space that hosts the project is currently a 9 holes golf course. Our wish is to turn it into a verdant, fragrant garden where rosemary and thyme give golfers and non-golfers alike an opportunity to nourish their body and mind. Creating this mesmerizing atmosphere will be made possible by planting one million rosemarie and thyme bushes around the golf area.

“Play” meaning in various ways, including playing like an infant, having fun with friends, indulging in drinks or gambling, taking breaks between work and study, having the leeway to things, seeking beauty in literature and art isolated from the secular world, and giving space to machinery part connection. In any case, it is like a source to life, an act full of humanity contrary to pursuing functionality and rationality.

The aim of the competition is to develop radical ideas for a livable and future-proof urban quarter on a former industrial site in the town of Backnang, which has 37,000 inhabitants, in the Rems-Murr district in Baden-Württemberg. The approx. 16.7 hectare large Backnang West neighbourhood has been part of the Network of the International Building Exhibition 2027 since 2019. It was submitted by the city of Backnang.

The aim of the “48h Floor Plan Battle” competition is to develop one drawing to communicate an architectural design. The participants are asked to draft one floor plan, with absolute freedom of interpretation, technique and level of abstraction. Even the concept of floor plan itself can be questioned in order to craft the most expressive way to represent the design.

Leveraging this moment’s elevated awareness of the experiences of women in the workplace, and building on the collective action of multiple waves of women’s activism before us, we aim to create a space for dialogue. Strelka Institute’s The Terraforming program is an interdisciplinary design research think-tank convened to preemptively address issues of planetary urbanism. Artificiality, astronomy, and automation form the basis of that alternative planetarity. With the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, what began as speculative has become real-time.

The Student Annual Architecture Models + Artifacts (S.A.A.M.A.) exhibit is a collaborative design exhibition that focuses on architecture student model work. It is an annual exhibition that catalogs a curated publication of the best physical models that architecture students have made across North America. This is a call to all hardworking architecture students to submit images of their models to be reviewed by the Curatorial Practices Team at KSU-Arch (Kennesaw State University) and publish a catalog of the best work that you have to offer in a digital exhibition.

In this difficult time, Penta Real Estate is inviting local and foreign architects and architectural studios to participate in an open, international architectural and urban design competition. The aim of the competition is to find the best solution to complet the residential block in the western part of Prague's Vysočany. The scope of the project should be at least 280 residential units together with the amenities of commercial or non-commercial purpose (respectively 24,200 square meters of gross floor area).
It is two round competition. The first round is open, it is qualifying. In order to participate in it, please first register and then hand over the portfolio - max. 9 pages. Applicants will indicate their previous experience, references and the overall concept of the proposal.

The vision for the project is to build unique, modern and racy duplex apartments compound in Dahran city, Saudi Arabia. Our main goal is to create different living experience for our tenants by providing duplex units along with many other facilities (Parking, Gardens, Kids play areas, recreational areas…etc) and to provide enjoyable and private daily life.
