The Face of Renovation is an open international contest for development of architectural solution concepts of buildings under the program of housing stock renovation in Moscow.

Norwich University’s School of Architecture+Art launched a competition for high school students to design an outdoor classroom with thousands of scholarship dollars as prizes.

From the very beginning of its existence human being have always been involved in the process of adaptation from the consequences created by its own. Among such one of the prevailing consequence humans face at present is the space crunch. As a result of this, we have started building dwelling units stacked next to & over one another and have adapted the change of habituating on heights. But with every new adaptation comes new unimagined challenges as assimilating more people into a confined piece of land requires thoughtful distribution of all basic facilities that are required for living.

Background of Competition:
1)The target is this design competition 「The Library of SONGDO International City」 is a key indicator to carry out the purpose of Incheon-city which orients ‘An International City of Northeast Asia to the World’ and is an important challenge to expand the cultural infrastructure of the local residents.

The international competition for conceptual master plan and Phase I architectural design of Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone (Nanshan) Hi-tech Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as Industrial Park) is calling for entries, combined with the industrial development positioning and key direction of Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, providing guidance and basis for the future plan and architectural design of this Park, in order to build Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone (Nanshan) Hi-tech Industrial Park into the future important economic growth point and modern comprehensive new place of Nanshan District in east Guangdong Province.

Oyler Wu Collaborative and Taiwanese partner Ren Lai Architects have won a competition to re-envision the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan. Selected among finalists including Asif Khan with C.M.Chao Architects, Sou Fujimoto Architects with WSAA Design Team, and Liao Architects and Associates, the winning project proposes a newly renovated exterior that seeks to reconnect the building with its evolving context.

Foster + Partners has just unveiled its winning design scheme for a new urban destination in China, the Guangming Hub located on the high-speed rail connecting Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. In fact, the Transport Oriented Development proposal generates a “smart city that supports the flow of people and goods with robust infrastructure, effective transport networks, reliable public services, and lush greenery”.

Now in its 14th year, The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, are organizing “Europe 40 Under 40” for 2020-2021. Each year, our Institutions invite young European professionals to participate in this innovative awards program that spotlights Europe's next generation of up-and-coming European design practitioners.

As a part of this initiative, LEDeG is launching a Global Design Competition on solutions to resolve problems in high-altitude towns, under Work Package 4.8 of the Liveable Leh project.

Open Source Design is the development of ideas without the retention of intellectual property. The goal of this initiative is to propagate a community of designers that are enthusiastic to selfless creation. The Open Source Design Library is a by-product of ARC.HV's experimental study, The 4th Dimension. The products currently range from furniture pieces, installations, jewellery, modular shelters and animal pods. The objective is to use locally available materials consciously with minimum wastage while following a DIY method of making or easy assembly in construction.

The Rio de Janeiro Department of the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB-RJ) has opened registration for the 58th Annual Awards—Road to the Centenary and the 37th Architect of Tomorrow Award. The former aims to recognize the intellectual and professional production of the Department's members, while the Architect of Tomorrow is dedicated to honoring academic work produced in architecture and urbanism programs across the state of Rio de Janeiro. The winning final graduation projects in the eight categories of the Architect of Tomorrow award will also compete for the Grandjean de Montigny Award, sponsored by CAU/RJ.

The call for entries for the 2020 CAU/RJ Grandjean de Montigny Grand Prize is now available! This year's winner will be awarded a study trip to a Latin American country, in addition to R$ 7,000 for expenses. The authors of the projects placed 2nd and 3rd will receive R$ 5,000 and R$ 3,000, respectively, for study trips. The results will be announced at the Architect and Urban Planner Day celebration on December 15. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held online and streamed live on the CAU/RJ YouTube channel. Further details regarding the program will be released soon.

The Hospital has recently published a tender seeking talented architects to work on a world-leading development of two new hospitals in Leeds, one of the largest cities in the United Kingdom.
