External Wall Insulation System - StoTherm | Sto

Sto's StoTherm composite range of EWIS (External Wall Insulation Systems or ETICs (Externally Thermal Insulating Composite Systems) known or colloquially as “insulated render” feature a range of insulation materials with a synthetic or cement-based thin coat reinforcement and embedded glass fibre mesh to provide seamless crack resistance.

Used extensively for building facades, the Sto systems can be designed with an appropriate thickness of insulation to comply with Passivhaus standards. The systems are either bonded or mechanically fixed to a loadbearing suitable substrate. They are ideal for the construction of new buildings as well as the thermal upgrading of existing buildings.

StoTherm system offers a large range of standard and bespoke through-tinted plaster or renders as well as alternative finishing materials such as resin or clay brick slips, making it possible to create both durable and attractive facades.
