The fourth edition of the International Forum on Urban Interventions (FIIU) will take place this year in Lima from August 5 to 11.

The event has launched an open call for collectives, students, activists, organized citizens, and private or public institutions to participate by sharing their initiatives and projects on one of the region's most significant stages for urban interventions and public space.

Building on their 2018 work, WRI Brasil and the National Front of Mayors (FNP) are presenting the "Complete Streets and Universities Online Seminar" series in 2019.

Supported by the University Professors for Complete Streets Network—established by both organizations—the series aims to identify opportunities and challenges for integrating the Complete Streets concept into the education of future urban planners.

The call for entries for the International Ideas Competition for the new Argentine Pavilion at Expo 2023 is open from May 21 to July 8, and is open to all architecture professionals who wish to participate.

The Argentine Pavilion is the first of six international competitions organized by the Central Society of Architects (SCA) and the College of Architects of the Province of Buenos Aires (CAPBA), and sponsored by the Argentine Federation of Architects' Entities (FADEA), which will be launched over the coming months as part of Expo 2023. The pavilion will represent the federal concept of Argentina, symbolizing and embracing the value of diverse emerging cultural, artistic, technological, and scientific expressions, as well as the country's tourism heritage.

An initiative that aims to promote collaboration between artists, architects, students, professionals in the field of heritage and the public in general and at the same time opens an intergenerational and interdisciplinary dialogue that helps to define a contemporary vision and the future approach to conservation, restoration and reuse of a heritage as delicate and at risk as the single-family home.

As the fourth great bay area in the world, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is an important spatial carrier for China to build world-class city group and engage with the world. In accordance with the requirements of "relying on Hongkong, serving the mainland and facing the world", Qianhai has undertaken a number of national strategic goals that include these four major national strategic missions-Free Trade Zone, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation, One Belt One Road and Innovation-driven Development. It is the Special Zone in Special Zones. The social catastrophe of Latin America has its epicenter in popular settlements.

It is in Latin America, the most urbanized and unequal region in the world, where 104 million people live in popular settlements. Here, 1 of every 4 inhabitants of urban areas, lives in a slum, villa, favela or camp, in a situation of poverty. These populations must subsist by their own means, with the constant violation of their rights.

MOVE CINE ARTE is an international film festival dedicated exclusively to the screening of art films and films about art, curated by Andre Fratti Costa (Brazil) and Steve Bisson (Italy).

In alignment with the Venice Architecture Biennale, the 3rd edition of MOVE—dedicated to Architecture and Urbanism and titled MOVE CINE ARCH—helps bridge the gap between festivals in Brazil and abroad, broadening the debate on urban space and key issues related to city life.

SAY IT LOUD

The exhibition features projects by the diverse design professionals, as well as quotes and video interviews on their experiences in the architecture and design professions. The concept of this exhibit is "To see our faces, hear our voices, feel our impact within the colorful tapestry of our heritage." SAY IT LOUD is the activation of a national movement of sharing, protecting and celebrating the journey of the underrepresented to inspire the next generation. SAY IT LOUD engages diverse audiences through programming organized at the time of exhibition to elevate the identities and contributions of minority architects and designers with, curated lectures, and documentaries that testify to the provided value of their built work and its spatial impact. To date, our SAY IT LOUD exhibitions have been viewed by an estimate total 22,000 visitors since January 2017. From inception, multiple online publications (such as Curbed and The Architects Newspaper) with large subscription bases have helped promote the exhibitions further expanding its impact. Featured firms expressed an increase in business which they attributed to the exhibition and reporting on SAY IT LOUD.

Since graduating from the Cooper Union School of Architecture in 1996, Vladimir Belogolovsky has crossed disciplinary boundaries by transitioning from practicing architecture to becoming an exhibition curator and critic to evolving as a conceptual installation artist in his pursuit of continuously scrutinizing two fundamental questions – what is an exhibition and what is architecture?

For more than 20 years, The Arhitext Design Foundation has been developing editorial and cultural projects that raise awareness of the national and international state of architecture, urbanism, design and visual arts.
