The 2020 Pan American Biennial of Architecture of Quito has opened its call for entries for projects and publications completed in the four years leading up to each edition. Over its twenty-one editions, the Biennial Competition has received more than 7,000 submissions and recognized contributions to the practice of architecture, urbanism, landscape, theory, and architectural dissemination.
Local policymakers in urban planning must have a better understanding of potential impacts and a more profound reflection to find a solid foundation for acting effectively within their own territory. Co-organized by @sca_socearq and the Faculty of Architecture at @universidaddepalermo, the series features guests from diverse fields of urban culture who are active participants in the ongoing reconstruction of the city.

FOCO is a series of talks organized by the University Commission of the Sociedad Central de Arquitectos every Saturday at 7:00 PM. From October 7 to 11, the 11th Patagonia Architecture Congress—40 Years will take place in Punta Arenas.
Niterói will host the exhibition "Let Limits Collapse, Let Forgotten Distances Appear," opening on October 5 at the Espaço Cultural Correios. The exhibition features Alberto Saraiva, Enéas Valle, Lígia Teixeira, Marilou Winograd, Mario Camargo, Mark Engel, Marcelo Palmar Rezende, and Petrillo. Curated by Mario Camargo, the show offers an immersion into the artists' poetic universe, reflecting on freedom and providing a profound look at the human existential condition—specifically their own. The curator notes that "being an artist is a state whose meaning is composed of layers, material techniques, forms, and colors, in a constant overflow of sensations."

Introduction to Design for Play and Urban Childhoods is a workshop that seeks to foster a general understanding of the value of play and its impact on the holistic development of children, while reflecting on how this directly relates to the way cities and their respective public spaces are designed, planned, and built.
I. OBJECTIVES
Identify the best architectural works by architects in the state of Tabasco, as well as publications, research, and theses. Recognize their authors. Disseminate the most relevant works to allow, through analysis and critique, a reflection on responsible contemporary architecture with sustainable solutions.
During the design month held every October in Mexico City, Coolhuntermx, curated by Taina Campos and Andrea Soler, proposes a space to amplify the voices of women designers, architects, and all creatives.
