Niterói will host the exhibition "Let Limits Collapse, Let Forgotten Distances Appear," opening on October 5 at the Espaço Cultural Correios. The exhibition features Alberto Saraiva, Enéas Valle, Lígia Teixeira, Marilou Winograd, Mario Camargo, Mark Engel, Marcelo Palmar Rezende, and Petrillo. Curated by Mario Camargo, the show offers an immersion into the artists' poetic universe, reflecting on freedom and providing a profound look at the human existential condition—specifically their own. The curator notes that "being an artist is a state whose meaning is composed of layers, material techniques, forms, and colors, in a constant overflow of sensations."
The exhibition aims to explore how art can transcend boundaries, allowing the viewer to engage with memories and images that have been stored, revisited, and recreated. The curatorial team cites painter Fayga Ostrower, who observed that "chance is an image gathered in the artist's subconscious," highlighting that each work serves as a journey of rediscovery.
