The Mundaneum XII_re_UNIÓN International Architecture: Necessary Architectures and Cities: re_THINKING Architecture and Urbanism in Latin America will take place at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Granada (ETSAG), Spain, on October 3, 4, and 5, 2018, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the re_UNIÓN's founding (1998-2018).
The seminar initiative was originally conceived in 2007 to offer participants in the master's and doctoral urbanism programs at the UPC the opportunity to discuss and enrich their work.
n'UNDO proposes approaching architecture and urbanism from a different perspective, understanding that it is possible to build more and better through reduction, restraint, and reasoned declination. The theoretical framework developed aims to improve the urban and environmental landscape through a shift in professional and personal perspective, creating meeting places for those who feel engaged, while stimulating reflection, criticism, debate, and collective action.

The Smart Buildings Congress is the leading professional forum on smart buildings in Spain. It brings together the sector's key stakeholders, addressing the current state and future of smart buildings, as well as the implications for companies and professionals involved in the design, construction, and management of buildings and their facilities.
The fourth edition of the Smart Buildings Congress will be held on June 19, 2018, at the COAM headquarters, the Official Architects' Association of Madrid.

As part of the 'ETSAM Lectures' series, Benedetta Tagliabue, an Italian architect based in Barcelona and founder of Miralles Tagliabue EMBT, will visit ETSAM on Monday, March 5, at 12:30 PM in the auditorium.
The 14th edition of the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism focuses on the concept of dwelling as the foundation of architecture and the humanization of the city. This idea is defined by the quality and character of spaces, whether domestic or public, urban or rural. The exhibition seeks to value environments, social life, spaces, and the proximity of places without compromising the creativity of the works. The humanization of architecture and the city is based on proximity, human scale, and spaces for both social interaction and intimacy.
Emerging from a context of economic austerity, the biennial showcases architecture that has moved away from formal excess while successfully maximizing the relationships between domestic environments, the city, and people.
