Proposing a look at new paradigms in the real estate, architecture, and civil construction markets in the face of the rapid pace of digital transformation is the goal of summIT IMOB. This event, promoted by TRACE and Somos Lares, will take place on September 12 at the Teatro da Unisinos (Av. Dr. Nilo Peçanha, 1600). The gathering will bring together experts and major market players, while also providing networking opportunities for industry professionals. The program is divided into four thematic tracks: people, buildings, cities, and connections, in addition to a virtual reality experience taking place in the theater foyer throughout the event.
The theme is “Walking Teaches Us to Disobey,” inspired by the ideas of philosopher Frédéric Gros.
This year marks the third week of urbanism-related activities hosted by the TransLAB.URB collective. Once again, the event celebrates the transformative power of walking in partnership with the international Jane's Walk community. Taking place from May 3rd to 5th, the event honors the life and work of activist and urbanist Jane Jacobs during the 2nd Jane's Walk Porto Alegre.

On Saturday, July 20, the TransLAB.URB collective, at the invitation of the JUSTO team, will host another edition of the Micro Escola Urbana, this time with a winter-themed approach.

The Professional Master's in Architecture and Urbanism at Unisinos focuses on the sustainability and performance of cities and buildings. Designed to meet the ongoing need for advanced professional qualification and societal engagement, this program builds knowledge in sustainable architecture and urban design, construction performance analysis, energy efficiency, and environmental certification to improve quality of life. It addresses topics related to innovation, sustainability, and technology in Architecture and Urbanism.
Contemporary culture has applied the notion of curation across many segments—from works in an art exhibition, where the term is frequently used, to literary fairs, fashion festivals, cinema, or gastronomy—to designate the selection of products or objects based on specific criteria or concepts. Recent artistic production, in turn, by expressing contemporary themes and forms through distinct—and often innovative or even provocative—techniques and modes of presentation, makes the work of curation a powerful form of mediation and dialogue with diverse audiences.
Architect and philosopher Valpírio Gianni Monteiro will be at the Instituto Ling this May to lead the course Infinito Regresso: tradição e ruptura na arquitetura e no design. The course will consist of three sessions, held on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on May 8, 15, and 22, providing a broad overview of the key schools and cultural trends that have shaped architecture and design from the 20th century to the present day.
