Thick tempered glass, insulated panels, aluminum structure, can accommodate triple-pane glass
OTIIMA is an innovative minimal frame window and door system. Its 3/4” sight lines, limitless size, and configurations are backed by a great warranty. 38 Series glass systems from OTIIMA were used in the Turning Point Residence, a house in Los Angeles, California.
Turning Point Residence is designed to maximize space by creating four distinct levels that pivot from one axis line. The effect of deconstruction from the more traditional boxed-shaped structure results in geometries that dynamically intersect, causing the eye to move from one angle to the next along a vertical path.
The structure was designed to fuse engineering precision with organic fluidity. Faceted aluminum panels make up the front facade. The main spiraling stairway is constructed of pigmented plaster and a steel guardrail. Natural marble stone stairs add to the contrasting visual.
There is warmth and playfulness in the interiors. Materials in oak and poplar woods, porcelain, and limestone give each room neutral yet inviting tones. Natural light floods in through an abundance of glass walls, creating shadows that bounce off the curves, planes, and angles.
