Glass System in Mariposa House | OTIIMA USA

OTIIMA is an innovative minimal frame window and door system. Its 3/4” sight lines, limitless size, and configurations are backed by a great warranty. 38 Series glass systems from OTIIMA were used in Mariposa House, located in Malibu, California.

This project was in charge of Lynch, of Brininstool & Lynch, who remade a house that reflected the aura of its locale. The challenge was to respect what was already there and enhance it.

The goal became to open up the home to the nearly two-acre virginal surroundings to ensure that the house was part of the landscape in terms of the view. Door systems are flush to the threshold, further creating the desired seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.

For this project, 38 Classic from OTIIMA, a thermally versatile and structurally robust glass system that can be used in both warm and moderately cold climates was used.
