The Roskilde Cathedral School, located in Roskilde, Denmark, offers a learning environment that provides daylight design and fresh air to teachers and students. Its renovation was designed by Sweco Architects, altering the construction and expanding the floor space by 2,500 m2.
The project, constructed in 2012, has VELUX Modular Skylights installed, providing daylight into the canteen and the teaching areas. Half of the modules used in the building can be open for ventilation.
Ridgelight 5° with Beam
The VELUX Modular Skylights, is a self-supporting structure composed of two rows of skylights with beams that support the sides of the module.
Ridgelight at 5° is the ideal solution for large roof openings, it ensures maximum daylight and thermal comfort, and it also adds spaciousness to the area below.
