On November 19, Editora Escola da Cidade launches Um guia de arquitetura de São Paulo: doze percursos e cento e vinte e quatro projetos [A Guide to the Architecture of São Paulo: Twelve Routes and One Hundred and Twenty-Four Projects], organized by architect and professor Fabio Valentim. The book presents a selection of significant works from the recent history of modern architecture in São Paulo and its subsequent developments.

Exhibition "Adalberto Mecarelli – Light +"

Mercedes Viegas Arte Contemporânea will open the exhibition "Adalberto Mecarelli – Luz +" on December 12, 2019, at 7:00 PM for guests, and the following day for the general public. The exhibition features works by the artist, who was born in Terni, Italy, in 1946, and has been based in Paris for 50 years. This is the first exhibition in Brazil by the sculptor, whose abstract constructive approach is noted for research into light and shadow and solar light recordings. Their work is featured in various public spaces across European countries, including France, Italy, and Germany. "The exhibition primarily presents light sculptures that engage with the gallery space—geometric forms sculpted by shadow," notes curator Elisa Byington, who selected works by the artist spanning various techniques and materials.

The Félix Candela Award is an international architectural ideas competition conducted in Spanish, held in two phases. It is organized annually by the Spanish Institute of Architecture (IESARQ) and is open to students of architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, and design, as well as young architects, landscape architects, urbanists, and designers, participating either individually or in teams of two or three.
