Plaza de las Carretas: National Design Competition in Campana, Buenos Aires

Organized by the Colegio de Arquitectos Provincia de Buenos Aires (CAPBA D5), this national competition seeks proposals for the "Plaza de las Carretas" in Campana, Buenos Aires.

The initiative aims for the Plaza de las Carretas to function as a unifying space that provides connections to the surrounding axes, while also establishing itself as a true "public activity center" for continuous use in its own right.

Poster Competition: XXVII ELEA CDE 2019

2019 Heritage Competition: Recognition for Preservation and Enhancement in Argentina

Call for entries open for BAL 2019, the Latin American Architecture Biennial

As in previous editions, the Latin American Architecture Biennial (BAL) aims to showcase the work of emerging professionals in Spain, thereby helping to promote their practice both in Spain and in their home countries.

BAL 2019 will take place over the course of one week in Pamplona, Spain, combining a variety of events linked to different geographic regions. The program will feature exhibitions, lectures, and roundtables that provide a global overview of the current state of Latin American architecture. Following the event, the BAL will be exhibited in Barcelona and Madrid, as well as at BIAU 2021, and may also be presented in participating countries upon request.

Public Competition – Sixth Avenue Preliminary Urban Design

Nave Creativa Mendoza: National Design Competition in Argentina

Organized by the Mendoza Architects' Association (CAMZA), this competition seeks proposals for the repurposing, restoration, and enhancement of the Northeast Warehouse located on the grounds of the former General San Martín Railway (FCGSM), which once comprised the Mendoza Central Station.

The goal is to transform the site into a "Nave Creativa" (Creative Hub)—an artist incubator and public space designed to democratize tools and physical space for the development and promotion of growing local creative industries. This initiative aims to facilitate access through a multi-purpose innovation and experimentation space that brings together and promotes sector activities, empowering entrepreneurs in the fields of design, music, and visual and audiovisual arts.

Ala Delta Station: competition for the expansion of the cable car system in Salta, Argentina

Due to both the growing tourist demand in the city of Salta and the population's need for equipped recreational open spaces, the Government of Salta—through the Salta Cable Car Complex and the Salta Architects' Association—will expand the cable car system to connect the summits of Cerro San Bernardo and Cerro Delta.

We believe the output from Argentine universities is vast and valuable; therefore, we are once again launching an open call to showcase the best final degree projects produced by these institutions.

Academic proposals can serve as significant intellectual and critical works. The goal of this call is to ensure these projects do not remain tucked away, gathering dust on shelves, and losing their potential to drive real change in our cities and in how we inhabit and perceive our world.

Argentina launches open call for curatorship and preliminary design for its pavilion at the 2020 Venice Biennale

The call for the Architectural Preliminary Project and Curatorship Competition for the selection of the official Argentine entry to the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, known as “the Venice Biennale,” is open until November 4, 2019. The exhibition will take place from May 23 to November 29, 2020. The competition includes the curatorial proposal and the preliminary project through which Argentina seeks to offer the world a faithful reflection of its work and reflections, condensing the effort and thought generated within its borders.

5th edition of the IDB CitiesLab 2019 international university competition: San Telmo, Buenos Aires
