The call for submissions is now open for the XI Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (XI BIAU), curated by Arturo Franco and Ana Román, which will be held in October 2019 in Asunción, Paraguay, with Joseto Cubilla serving as the country coordinator.
The conceptual theme for this edition is: aĩ paragua y (habito - el agua). In this regard, the curators explain:
The Panorama of Works section is open to architecture and urbanism projects built in Ibero-America and designed by architects, either individually or in teams, with a completion date between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2018, that have not been submitted to previous editions of the BIAU. Urban plans and urban or territorial projects that have at least received initial approval in accordance with the urban planning legislation of each country within the aforementioned period may also be submitted.
