The residency provides individuals from multiple disciplines a thought-provoking environment in which to produce new works of the imagination inspired by one of the great examples of 20th century architecture.
Young architects and designers are invited to submit work to the 2024 Architectural League Prize competition. Projects of all types, either theoretical or real, and executed in any medium, are welcome. The jury will select work for presentation in lectures, digital media, and an exhibition in June 2024. Winners will receive a cash prize of $2,000.

The second edition of the “Ideas for Prishtina” design contest has arrived! We welcome ideas that revolve around improving Prishtina’s cityscape, functionality, usability, and especially its livability. Prishtina has its fair share of urban issues, but that leaves a lot of room for potential, so share your thoughts and proposals, with the chance of making a proper change in the city. The Municipality of Prishtina and the Kosovo Architecture Foundation (KAF) are organizing this design contest to encourage the participation of the local community in the planning and implementation processes of the city. The main idea is the improvement and/or transformation of public spaces and their surroundings. These proposals could vary from sidewalks, crossroads, city lights, billboards, building facades, storefronts, rooftops, passages, tunnels, parks and other green areas, fountains, squares, markets, information points, pavilions, new public buildings, or even utopic urban solutions. No idea is too big, or too small, feel free to express yourselves fully. Everyone, either being a devoted residents or just visitors in Prishtina, of any age, nationality, or professional background, are invited to share their ideas. You can participate in this competition either individually or in groups with your friends, colleagues, neighbors, or family members. You are welcome to express yourselves with whatever medium you need, such as architectural and urban designs, art works, photos, videos, texts, etc. All you need to do in your designs is specify the exact location of your proposed intervention, and explain how your idea would improve the city and help the citizens. The Municipality of Prishtina will be awarding the best proposal will the “Rexhep Luci” Award that also includes a monetary prize of 5000 € for 1st place, 1000 € for 2nd place, and 500 € for 3rd place. The 13th edition of Asia’s leading international trade fair for the woodworking and furniture manufacturing industry will be held from 22 – 26 February, 2024 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, India. Our aim is to drive the growth of the Indian furniture manufacturing and woodworking sector, positioning India as a top manufacturing hub in the region.
We are happy to share with you that the School of Architecture at the Anant National University, Ahmedabad, is organising an International Symposium on Architecture for All: Call of the Future scheduled from 23rd to 25th February 2024. The symposium discusses the design position of our time as we embark on the quest to find what the architecture of the future should be. The symposium calls for proposals that explore the identified themes through the lens of either questioning the existing or embracing the future. Three prominent international keynote speakers have been finalised to enrich the discourse. They are Architect Madhura Prematilleke from Sri Lanka, Architect Marina Tabassum from Bangladesh, and Architect Peter Rich from South Africa. We invite you all to submit abstracts and share your ideas and research with an opportunity to get the work published. The last date to submit the abstracts is the 5th of November, 2023.

Avani Institute of Design conducted its first mid-semester exhibition for their first-year students on February 22nd, 2023, with the theme "Dhi" - Reflection. The students from the foundation studio displayed projects they completed as part of the programme. It included exercises in ink, pencil, and color. It also included perception drawings and film analysis.
