The Biennale d'architecture et de paysage d'Île de France, to be held in Versailles from May 6 to July 13, 2025, is the most important architecture exhibition in France. For the third edition, the exhibition at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles is co-curated by architects Sana Frini, from the Mexican office LOCUS, and Philippe Rahm, from the French office PHILIPPE RAHM ARCHITECTES.

The School of Architecture at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is now accepting applications for the 2025–26 Douglas A. Garofalo Fellowship. Named for the architect and educator Doug Garofalo (1958–2011), the nine-month fellowship provides emerging designers the opportunity to teach design studio and seminar courses and conduct independent research, culminating in a public lecture at the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts and an exhibition or public conversation at the school.

An international architectural competition under the title "Florenc21: Phase West" was announced by the site developer Penta Real Estate. Leading architectural firms are invited to apply and propose innovative solutions for the design of four prominent city blocks in the Florenc District, located in the heart of Prague. Registration runs until 13 December 2024, deadline for submission of concept designs is on February 7 2025.

In North American and European cities, philanthrocapitalists invest in cultural, social, and educational facilities passed down by the dwindling welfare state.
