The Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), in the exercise of its authority, announces the opening of a PUBLIC COMPETITION for the complete Basic Architecture and Urbanism Project and its complementary preliminary designs for the construction of the architectural complex intended for the headquarters of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (FAU-UFJF). This competition will be held in two stages. Both stages will follow the conditions established in the official call for entries, as follows:

The Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism has announced the call for entries for the 11th edition of the event, the XI BIAU. The Biennial will be held in Asunción, Paraguay, this October, and will showcase ways of inhabiting Latin America through the lens of everyday life.

The Spanish Council of Architects (CSCAE) has launched a competition for the design of the sculpture to be awarded to the winners of the Architecture Awards. COMPAC, as the official sponsor of the awards, will provide participants with the materials to create the piece. The design must be original, and the competition is open to architects and multidisciplinary teams of artists and designers working in collaboration with architects. The deadline for submitting proposals is April 22. The winner will receive a cash prize of 5,000 euros.

Participate in the #DesafíoMODhabitar, an initiative driven by CTeC that seeks to design prototypes in the Antofagasta Region that meet high thermal and environmental standards, focusing on four key aspects: modular, sustainable, replicable, and scalable housing.

This competition, promoted by CAF—Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean—and the Pan-American Federation of Associations of Architects, seeks to promote innovative architectural proposals in line with the state of the art in the field of education, using an approach centered on student learning.

The Rogelio Salmona Latin American Architecture Prize 2024 was launched on Thursday, February 29.

For the past 12 years, AAI México (Association of Architects and Interior Designers of Mexico) has presented this national award to celebrate and promote authentic Mexican design.
Thanks to the autonomy of the AAI, the award is independent of specific canons or corporate interests. All projects that meet the requirements of the call for entries are welcome, whether built or virtual, and whether they originate from emerging firms or established practices. There is a place for everyone here.
Each edition features a completely impartial jury, typically composed of prominent figures from the academic or industrial sectors. We are committed to fostering diversity of thought.

The call for entries includes five categories: Residential, Corporate, Restaurants, Hospitality, Recreational Spaces, and Special Projects. This edition introduces a new category: Sketch. This category is for those who appreciate freehand drawing, as we also believe in the power of traditional drawing.

MICRO was born in 2020 as a reflective process that identified the artistic potential brewing within architecture schools that had remained anonymous, aiming, furthermore, to encourage all students to broaden their horizons beyond the purely architectural. Ultimately, it seeks to collect and host all works produced under the proposed theme in a single exhibition that showcases the artistic talent of architecture schools. The success and quality of the works that comprised the first and second editions have reaffirmed and confirmed the hypothesis of this expanding project.

The USAT School of Architecture is organizing the 1st International Workshop: 2022 Architecture Lectures and Competition. "Memory, Time, and Landscape" is an event open to students and universities across the country, aimed at exploring and reflecting on current topics through proposals that foster creativity and multidisciplinary work.

Organized by the Sociedad Central de Arquitectos, this national competition calls for the preliminary design of the facade and the treatment of the right party wall for the new building that will house the relocated offices and archives of the National Tax Court.

Concursos AG 360 announces the "Alpine Hostel 2019" ideas competition, which will take place from January to April 2019. The project calls for the creation of an alpine shelter and a viewpoint on the slopes of the Nevado de Toluca, Mexico, intended to promote ecotourism development in the area. The entire site development must be based on sustainable and environmentally friendly principles.
