    Drifts through China

    Our "drifts" return, this time to explore cities across the Pearl River Delta region, including Hong Kong and Guangzhou. We will be joined by various organizations, firms, and local friends who will share their expertise and insights into these cities. Participants include MaD (Make a Difference Asia), nose hk, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Public Space Initiative, and Design Trust.

    Feminist Perspectives on Spatial Practices

    In Portuguese architecture, the quest to understand the slow integration of women into the profession is a recent discussion. However, debates regarding Women in Architecture or the relationship between feminism and architecture began at least in the 1970s and extend beyond women's rights. They have materialized through meetings, literature, and individual and collective paths that contribute to the theoretical and practical transformation of architecture.

    International Seminar: The Journey as Discovery

    The 2018-01 International Architecture Seminar, "Travel as Discovery," features three lectures open to the public. Guest speakers include French architect Caroline Manique and British historian Tim Benton, both of whom have extensive individual and collaborative research on topics such as Le Corbusier, Art Deco, and architectural theory.

    CAU/SP hosts the discussion "What is the place of women in the profession?"

    On International Women's Day, March 8, CAU/SP will host a debate on the role of women in the practice of Architecture and Urbanism, titled: "What is the place of women in the profession?" Approximately 60% of professionals in the country are women, totaling 97,093 architects and urban planners working across the nation. According to the latest CAU statistics, these professionals work primarily in design, construction, and management.
