In its pursuit of providing cutting-edge solutions, C&C Consulting Construction Group, through its AEC Tech division and in collaboration with Trimble Inc., invites you to the conference series "Use of New Technologies for the AEC Industry." The series will explore the advantages and benefits of using #LaserScanner technology and managing the resulting data through the powerful, next-generation software #RealWorks and #EdgeWise. Additionally, we will cover #MixedReality via #Connect for Microsoft HoloLens, which leverages this technology for project coordination by providing precise alignment of holographic data on the job site, allowing models to be reviewed within the context of the physical environment. The 2018-01 International Architecture Seminar, "Travel as Discovery," features three lectures open to the public. Guest speakers include French architect Caroline Manique and British historian Tim Benton, both of whom have extensive individual and collaborative research on topics such as Le Corbusier, Art Deco, and architectural theory.

Since 1989, the Cabildo de Lanzarote has been working to revitalize and enhance the cultural appeal of Arrecife. The primary objective of this project is to transform the El Almacén plaza (Arrecife) into an urban hub for culture and social interaction. This competition represents a significant step toward that goal, as the winning proposal will be built.

The CAF competition sought ideas proposing comprehensive habitat improvements within communities. Specifically, it aimed to improve citizens' quality of life and integrate informal settlements into the city through the conception and design of innovative, relevant, justified, and feasible proposals.

Our "drifts" return, this time to explore cities across the Pearl River Delta region, including Hong Kong and Guangzhou. On International Women's Day, March 8, CAU/SP will host a debate on the role of women in the practice of Architecture and Urbanism, titled: "What is the place of women in the profession?" Approximately 60% of professionals in the country are women, totaling 97,093 architects and urban planners working across the nation. According to the latest CAU statistics, these professionals work primarily in design, construction, and management.

In Portuguese architecture, the quest to understand the slow integration of women into the profession is a recent discussion. However, debates regarding Women in Architecture or the relationship between feminism and architecture began at least in the 1970s and extend beyond women's rights. They have materialized through meetings, literature, and individual and collective paths that contribute to the theoretical and practical transformation of architecture.
