Exhibition on Bogotá through the eyes of 10 photographers opens

From March 15 to May 30, the Archivo de Bogotá is hosting the exhibition and seminar "Modern Heritage: Architecture, City, and Photography." This event of national and international interest brings together two exhibitions that highlight the urban and architectural heritage value of modernity, in which photography plays a prominent role in its dissemination: "Bogotá Through the Lens of 10 Photographers" (Curators: Maria Pia Fontana, Miguel Mayorga, Margarita Roa) and "The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier: An Outstanding Contribution to the Modern Movement. The 17 Works Declared World Heritage Sites" (Curators: María Cecilia O’Byrne, Ingrid Quintana, Ricardo Daza).

Cinecubo IAB: São Paulo Anonymous Cinema

CineCubo is the film club hosted by the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB) with the goal of fostering dialogue between audiovisual and architectural languages and debating perspectives on the city. On the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM, CineCubo screens films followed by a discussion at the IAB-SP headquarters. Curated and moderated by Nana Maiolini, Travessia Filmes, and guests, the sessions are free and open to the general public.

Launch: “Santiago’s Island Hills: Building a New Urban Imaginary Based on Its Geography”

“Cerros Isla de Santiago: Constructing a New Urban Imaginary Through Its Geography” is a publication for documentation and dissemination that seeks to raise awareness and highlight the natural and cultural heritage of the valley present in Santiago's 26 island hills. The book develops a dual narrative—one visual and one written—in which two photographers and seven academics and professionals explore the subject of the island hills from their respective fields of expertise. The book also includes fact sheets for each of the 26 island hills, compiling the survey and documentation work carried out by the Cerros Isla Foundation.
