Abdullatif Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture was established in 2011, it’s targeting the architectural, urban, and technical aspects of mosques all over the world, and It will be awarded to the related designer/architect.

Building Trust International have just announced their 8th design competition which is in association with the United Nations Development Programme and the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone. The competition entitled 'Affordable Housing Design Challenge' challenges architects, designers and engineers to submit an innovative design proposal for new affordable housing for low income workers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. These new units should be well-designed, sustainable and most importantly improve the quality of life of the intended residents and the surrounding community. More than just housing, this new project should build a future for workers and their families in Cambodia.
Building Trust international will work alongside competition partners, local government and the winning team to build the winning design. The winning team will not only have their design constructed but will also receive a US$20,000 cash prize fund with 4 honourable mentions receiving US$5000 each.

Periferica is an international festival of urban regeneration that will take place in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, from 27 July to 5 August. Every year, Periferica brings together associations, universities and businesses to rethink a disused area with students, creative people and inhabitants, through a program of workshops and events. Since 2013, more than 300 students from different parts of Europe have so far participated.

SCI-Arc's B.Arch thesis students recently presented their final thesis projects at the 2018 B.Arch Thesis Reviews, aimed at fostering discussion, debate, and mapping out new directions for architecture. The culmination of the school's five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) curriculum, the year-long thesis program challenges the next generation of designers to take clear positions, form new perspectives regarding existing challenges, and conceive solutions for issues that architects will face in the future.

The Compostela Architecture summer program ( July 3rd - July 20th) assembles architects, designers, urbanists, theorists and artists from Asia, America, and Europe for an immersive study abroad course in architecture and urban design. Its home base is Santiago de Compostela, the medieval city and pilgrimage destination in Galicia, northwest Spain. Students also take day trips to other cities in the region such as A Coruña and Porto, as well as to the ecologically rich “Rias” or estuaries of the Spanish northwest.

●Theme:What is “Home-for-All?”
After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the “Home-for-All” project consisted of 16 homes built across towns in Sanriku. After the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in 2016, a total of 93 “Home-for-All” were built within the region’s temporary housing site.

A’ Design Award & Competition, the world’s largest and most diffuse international design awards, has announced results of their 2017–2018 design awards, featuring 1,962 Winners from 100 countries in 99 different design disciplines. Entries were evaluated by an internationally influential jury panel composed of established scholars, prominent press members, creative design professionals and experienced entrepreneurs who carefully analyzed each entry.
This year's winners add to the rich database of architectural inspiration already established by past iterations of the award that celebrate the latest trends in arts, architecture, and technology. The online gallery of winners is available here, as well as interviews with the winning designers.

Hosted by the Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) the Tapestry Design Prize for Architects (TDPA) is the only international tapestry award for architects. The TDPA invites architects from around the world to design a tapestry for a hypothetical site.
Boullée’s mooted building that inspired the Pharos Wing, MONA, has been announced as the TDPA 2018 hypothetical site on Tuesday 20 March 2018.

The Beacon is a design competition for an architectural structure than can be set alight. The competition involves the design of a structure in or on which a fire can be made, the primary purpose of which is to act as the opening ceremony centerpiece torch for the Lemba Lights Festival at the Cultural Village of Lemba, Paphos, Cyprus in August 2018.

Following on from the work started in 2017 with the I International Competition “inHAUS LAB – Design your modular house”, Casas inHAUS launches this second edition where we would like to repeat the great reception that the last edition received, and increase the monetary value of the prizes.
