São Paulo, 2018 – On Friday, November 23, Arq.Futuro, Inciti – Research and Innovation for Cities, Escola da Cidade, and the Ministry of Public Security will host the Urbanism and Public Security Seminar. The event will analyze recent intervention experiences in three cities: Medellín, Colombia; Recife; and Rio de Janeiro. It will take place in São Paulo at the Itaú BBA auditorium, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Free to the public, the exhibition honors the architecture of Irineu Breitman and will be held in conjunction with the VIII CBDEH from October 30 to November 1 at the Expo Unimed in Curitiba, PR.

Goma Oficina invites students and faculty to a guided tour of the studio where models are being produced for the exhibition "Vkhutemas 1918–2018: Future in Construction," curated by Celso Lima and Neide Jallageas. The exhibition will take place at Sesc Pompeia in July 2018. During the visit, the Goma team will present the entire process of reproducing these projects and objects, as well as the broader historical context of the Vkhutemas experience and its relationship to architectural education in the country. The studio is based at FunarteSP and houses the reproductions of the following works: Tatlin’s Monument to the Third International ("The Tower"), Leonidov’s Lenin Institute, Malevich’s Architektons, Melnikov’s Sleep Sonata, and Rodchenko and Stepanova’s Composition 12 and Imitabichos.
Established in 2009, the postgraduate program at Escola da Cidade offers lato sensu courses organized around the broad, overarching theme: “Civilization America: A Perspective Through Architecture.”
On August 31, IABsp will announce the winning curatorial proposal for the 12th International Architecture Biennial of São Paulo. The event concludes the competition and the open process for discussing and proposing the Biennial's theme and content, which will take place in 2019. In addition to announcing the curatorial team responsible for the 12th BIA, the event will facilitate a meeting between participants and showcase the submitted proposals.
