The 18th edition of the international architecture seminar "From Territory to Detail" serves as a space for dialogue and reflection, bringing together students, academics, and professionals in the field alongside renowned Latin American architects. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated urban inequality in Latin America, with impacts evident in the vulnerability of citizens and their relationship with public space. "This situation reflects the need to adapt and implement our streets in a creative way that accounts for the diversity of people, thereby achieving spacious public areas that help reduce the risk of contagion for the most vulnerable users," says Mariana Alegre, Executive Director of Lima Cómo Vamos and Ocupa Tu Calle.

The Architecture and Urbanism program at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) is hosting a series of public lectures centered on the theme "São Paulo, Expanded Center: Many people without homes, many homes without people." Portobello, a leader in ceramic tile retail, is hosting the third and largest edition of its Archtrends Summit content forum through its trends and reference platform, Archtrends, on March 9 and 10. On Monday, May 25, the VII Arica Barroca South Andean Art Festival begins—an initiative established in 2014 to highlight the cultural identity and diversity of Arica, Parinacota, and the South American Andes. For 2020, Arica Barroca presents the theme "Sayarikuna"—Quechua for "We will rise"—to prompt questions regarding exemplary manifestations across the American continent. It invites reflection on returning to one's origins, the principles of "good living" (buen vivir) from the Andean worldview, and the practice of collectivity, reciprocity, access to information, learning, and Ayni.

A talk in which three National Architecture Award winners will reflect on their past, present, and future; the simultaneous premiere of three documentaries showcasing the life and work of two icons of Chilean architecture; and a panel discussion where a National Urbanism Award winner and a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate will outline post-pandemic cities. These are the activities with which the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile will commemorate its 78th anniversary, free of charge and entirely online.
