On September 6th, Belas Artes is hosting the Belas Artes Design Week. The initiative takes place during DW! São Paulo Design Weekend, the largest design festival in Latin America, and will bring together professionals and companies from various fields within architecture and design to discuss innovation, creativity, art, and entrepreneurship in Brazilian design.
Featuring a program filled with renowned names, the event combines lectures and talks. Journalist Taissa Buescu will open the event with a lecture on textures, shapes, colors, and patterns—the "secrets" of prominent interior designers. Following this, Francesca Alzati and Ricardo Abreu will discuss the current state of textile art and the use of ecological design, while Patricia Martinez and Bárbara Jalles will address female entrepreneurship in architecture and interior design. Meanwhile, Cris Rosenbaum and Zizi Carderari will discuss "Craftsmanship and Development." In the evening, Rodrigo Vinhas and Alexandre Félix will resume the program by discussing the culture and history behind footwear design. Finally, Alexandre will continue with a talk featuring Sofia Venetucci, Heloísa Gomez, and Lucas Lima, focusing on the challenges of creative design beyond the product itself.
