CAJ Discussion Series: First Session

The Young Architects Committee (CAJ) of the Chilean Institute of Architects is launching a series of discussions on various topics, aiming to promote and encourage the development of architecture from the beginning of one's professional career.

6th CAU/DF Meeting

The 6th CAU/DF Meeting features the theme "Latin Americanity" this year, aiming to bring society together to discuss the infinite opportunities for Architecture and Urbanism to contribute to urban development and planning in Latin America: the similarities, differences, and possibilities.

1st Regional Forum on Cultural Heritage

Under the theme "Cultural Heritage and Citizenship," the first edition of the Regional Cultural Heritage Forum will be held on August 17–18, 2018, in the city of Muriaé, Minas Gerais. The event will address the relationship between a sense of belonging, citizenship, and the preservation of cultural heritage through various thematic discussions.
The Forum is part of the Cultural Heritage Exhibition program, which will take place from August 17 to 31, and includes workshops on heritage education, thematic exhibitions, and the 5th edition of the Cultural Heritage Incentive Award.

    The Arch Days CDMX Forum will bring together national and international figures in the fields of design and architecture to explore the connections between creativity, education, and innovation, with the goal of proposing global solutions for sustainability.

    The renowned DWM design thinking forum, known as Creativity & Change, is evolving into the Arch Days Forum. This international event will feature architecture professionals discussing the intersections of creativity, education, and innovation to propose global solutions for sustainability.

    Talk on Ethical Banking Alternatives for Housing and Urban Regeneration Financing in Chile's Regions

    Taking on the challenge of equity and sustainability, ethical banking in Chile, through Doble Impacto, is actively seeking institutions that meet the criteria for evaluation and the requirements to join its financing system. A central focus will be on companies working in housing and urban regeneration; consequently, a series of talks will be held throughout July in the regions of Valparaíso, Concepción, Coquimbo, and Rancagua.

    The city will take center stage at the 5th International Congress of Architecture and Society

    Titled "Less Architecture, More City," the 5th edition of the International Congress of Architecture and Society will focus on the city to reflect on new forms of urbanism, exploring dimensions such as ecology, sustainable mobility, and the humanization of public spaces.

    As in the four previous editions, the Baluarte-Palacio de Congresos y Auditorio de Navarra will once again host this international event on June 13 and 14. While previous editions were more focused on architecture and architects—having featured renowned international figures such as Álvaro Siza, Alejandro Aravena, David Chipperfield, and Rem Koolhaas, and gathering up to 10 Pritzker Prize winners—this year marks a shift. In fact, from its first edition, titled "More for Less," to the most recent one in 2016, "Climate Change," the event has hosted major international figures in the field.
