The "Isolated Dialogues" series from the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture—held every Wednesday to address various topics from the perspective of isolation—will focus on "City, Sustainability, and Health" on September 2nd, within the context of the pandemic and the sustainable development that cities demand.
To this end, Spanish expert in bioclimatic urbanism, environmental planning, solar neighborhoods, and urban microclimate, Ester Higueras, will discuss urbanism and health. She will address the topic from both pre-pandemic perspectives and the current scenario we face, defining health through the physical, mental, and social dimensions referenced by the WHO. The academic will present ten principles for sustainable development and analyze the case of Madrid through this lens.
