Consolidated as one of the most significant events hosted by the Escola da Cidade – Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, the International Seminar reaches its 13th edition with the theme "Architecture is a way of knowing." Each year, for one week, prestigious national and international guests from the field of architecture and urbanism participate in debates, workshops, and activities involving students, faculty, and the public interested in exploring contemporary issues in the field. This year's event takes place from February 24 to March 2 at the Escola da Cidade campus and various SESC SP units. The opening session, which is open to the public, will feature a conversation with architects Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Solano Benítez (Paraguay), and Cristiane Muniz (São Paulo).

The sidewalk is the most democratic area of our home—we don't always remember this, but it is indeed part of our home, our building, and we believe it can be a space that goes beyond mere circulation. We view the sidewalk as a place for social interaction, tolerance, and respect for others, where we must engage with people of all genders, races, religions, ages, and social, physical, and mental conditions. In other words, it is a space where the full exercise of citizenship takes place.

Biofabrication State aims to provide an overview of academic exercises on this subject conducted at the Universidad Católica and Columbia University. The event will consist of brief presentations by students from both universities and will feature a presentation by David Benjamin, an architect and professor at Columbia University's GSAPP.

The event will take place from November 23 to 26 in Vitacura, at the Parque Arboleda Lo Curro project by Inmobiliaria Paz, a building designed by the renowned architecture firm Izquierdo Lehman.

As in the last two years, the fair will be divided into four sections, three of which (Focus, Planta, and Nave de Ediciones) will be curated. Furthermore, the initiative will feature various talks organized by the Fava Foundation and Paz Corp, designed to serve as a platform for visibility and interaction for the artists participating in the tenth edition of the Ch.ACO Fair, as well as to provide an introduction to public art and architecture. A highlight is the presentation by National Prize winner Luis Izquierdo, the architect of the project hosting the fair, which is scheduled for Saturday the 24th at 4:00 PM.
Parque Arboleda Lo Curro, the center of the exhibition, is a modern and avant-garde project built on thick pillars that rise across four hectares of green space. There are unavoidable issues in architectural practice. One of these is considering the "program" a project will have. Although it is almost always taken for granted, both the definition of the word and its impact on a project can lead to countless interpretations and variations. This edition of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] explores various practices and projects through this lens, aiming to reflect their overlooked complexity.
