Organized by Marco Artigas and Pedro Vada, this course aims to broaden the repertoire of contemporary architectural production by considering the urgent need for new, fundamentally counter-hegemonic perspectives.
The course focuses on the work of architects from Global South countries, their repertoires, and the debate surrounding what and how they are building in these regions. The goal of these meetings is to engage in a more direct conversation about the issues posed by diverse territories, societies, and cultures. We will explore the processes and decisions behind each project in greater detail—using documentation more extensive than what is typically found in publications—thereby addressing structural reflections and urgent themes.
