Atrium in AZ Alma Hospital | Deforche Construction Group

Glass roof solutions from Forzon, a group company associated with Deforche Construction Group, create a large atrium in Alma General Hospital. With a working height of more than 25 meters, Forzon was challenged with fitting the entire structure with thermally broken double-glazing. To achieve this safety and worksite organization was highly prioritized, as well as close coordination in the design phase focusing on the steel construction, aluminum, glass, gutters, waterproofing, and access. The 1,400 m² glass roof acts as the focal point of the 230-bed hospital's entrance, creating a spatial and light reception area.
