More about this product

  • Project: West Thames Street Pedestrian Bridge
  • Architects: NYCEDC, in coordination with Thornton Tomasetti/Weidlinger Associates and WXY Architects + Urban Design

The West Thames Street Pedestrian Bridge spans 230 feet across West Street, replacing the Rector Street Pedestrian Bridge and providing a permanent, direct pedestrian connection from the Financial District to Battery Park City.

Constructed by Skanska, the bridge enclosed with Webnet Stainless Steel Mesh from Jakob Rope Systems has been designed to maximize daylight and views of the World Trade Center and the Lower Manhattan skyline while improving functional access to these bustling neighborhoods for millions of residents and visitors every year.
