Frameless Glazing Systems in UNIT.City Office | AESTECH LDT

Aestech manufactures insulated glass units with higher stiffness developed according to its patent. Its solutions allow the company to bring a project to life just as envisioned. Frameless glazing facade systems from Aestech were used in UNIT.City, an office building located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

In addition to making the facade lighter and more aesthetically pleasing, thanks to the use of large glass up to 5.8 meters high without any frames or metal support elements the facade improved its energy efficiency indicators. Aestech products also allowed for increasing the internal usable area of the building, both by extending the glazing beyond the limits of the reinforced concrete structures and the absence of metal bars and posts.

Part of the facade is mounted in the form of teeth, where glass units are connected at an angle directly to each other through composite frames without the use of intermediate profiles. The other side of the facade is completely flat. Both in terms of scale and form, such solutions were previously implemented only with the use of grids made of metal support elements.

The use of frameless glazing technology in the construction of a business center has allowed for an increase in useful space and enhanced energy efficiency of the building.
