Vanceva gives architects and designers creative freedom by producing a broad spectrum of colors for laminated glass. The Color PVB Interlayers from Vanceva can be mixed to create over 170000 transparent, translucent, or opaque colors for the desired tone and intensity. The wide range of color options from Vanceva helped architect Christopher Janney create his “Harmonic Convergence”, a multifaceted mural for the Miami International Airport, in South Florida.
For this project, Christopher Janney worked closely with color experts from Vanceva to create a scale model of the wall to ensure every color was placed in perfect harmony with the adjacent color. The result was a synaesthetic environment and architecturally immersive space filled with colorful light.
The multi-hued glass wall offers travelers views of the outdoors and interior spaces through the play of colored light and shadow on every surface. The sunlight streams through the Color PVB Interlayers, encompassing the entire color spectrum.
“Harmonic Convergence” was the winner of the 2012 World of Color Awards Interior Division.
